about

This album was the last of a series recorded at Gray Burchette's Basement Studio in Elkin, NC. James still notes this recording as his favorite lyrically. It contains the original versions (before Nashville editing and lyric changes) of Sit at my table and I don't wanna know, both very controversial songs to JVC's early fan base. Also on this Album is the fun and questionable "Paper Moon" as well as the first version of fan favorite "Salt on my plate". Lastly you will hear two songs that have been unreleased since this recording went out of print: Wild Angel (a song about trying to change someone, but realizing you can't) and then the beautiful "Diamonds" lyrically written by Adrienne Jessica Coe and given to JVC and Gray Burchette to couple with a dream scape musical sound (that they most certainly stole from Led Zeppelin).
